Day Without Immigrants Rally: Advocates and supporters with Shutdown Folkston ICE Processing Center, Community Estrella, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation are gathering to protest Florida law SB1718, which targets undocumented residents in the state. 6pm, Outside the Governor’s Office: 206 Washington Street, SW Atlanta, 30334. Grand Opening of Leftie Lees: Korean American baker Vivian Lee officially opens her bakery and deli at the Olive and Pine complex on Avondale Estates. Workshops for entrepreneurs: The International Rescue Committee - Atlanta is hosting a series of workshops to support people interested in starting or expanding their small businesses. Learn to cook mashawi: The Alif Institute is hosting a cooking workshop where participants will learn mashawi (the Arabic word for barbecue) and cook up chicken and meat in a style you’ll find in many Arab countries. $55 for members, $60 for non-members. 2pm-4:30pm.
