Changes ahead for 285 South
Not the interstate! New website + opportunities to support independent community journalism
Dear 285 South readers,
285 South is off to a fresh start this spring. We are officially migrating off of Substack and on to a new platform this week, run by Indiegraf, a company that supports the tech needs of small, independent community news publishers.
What does this mean for you?
The most important things will stay the same: you’ll continue to see 285 South stories in your inbox, and at www.285South.com.
These are the changes:
We will now have an official website, which will make it easier for you to find the stories you like best - whether that’s restaurant reviews, community profiles, or monthly events calendars.
We’ll be turning on the memberships button - making it possible for you to support 285 South’s independent community journalism with a financial contribution.
And - we’ll have the opportunity to run ads on the website, from local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations. (If you’re interested, email sales@285south.com).
These are good things! It means we are continuing to grow here, to serve you the best we can.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
With love,
Sophia Qureshi
